Saturday, February 18, 2023 –Justina Wamae has asked members of the public not to associate her with George Wajackoyah’s Roots Party.
Through a statement she delivered on Friday February 17 afternoon, the ex-Wajackoyah’s running mate accused him of undermining her while she was still a member in the party; a situation she gracefully took.
“I was never a deputy party leader in your (Wajackoyah) shambolic party and you ensured I was just an ordinary member by design. I resigned on 22/9/2022 in case you are waking up from deep sleep,” she said.
To prove that she nolonger is an official or member of the Roots Party that came third in the last presidential contest, she attached two letters on the tweet seen by this writer proving that she resigned on September 18 last year.
“My role as Roots party of Kenya presidential running mate lapsed with the declaration of President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on 15th of August and subsequent upholding of the election by the Supreme Court of Kenya on September 5.
“I tender my resignation as a member of the Roots Party of Kenya. Kindly accord the ORPP the requirements for my name’s prompt removal from your party register,” the letter read partly.
And speaking on NTV show, the vocal Wamae said she feels that Kenyans should be reminded that, though she is not part of the Wajackoya’s mission, she has no grudge on him.
Wamae is now a staunch supporter of William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza administration.
