Sunday, August 6, 2023 –Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wah has asked President William Ruto not to allow any payment of allowances to the Bipartisan team scheduled to start their sittings soon.

Addressing supporters around Mt Kenya during President William Ruto’s ongoing five days tour, Ichung’wah noted that, alone, he is able to provide both transport and meals for the committee and, therefore, asked his boss William Ruto not to be bothered with how the meetings will carry on.

“I will not allow Handshake on that table. Leave Kalonzo Musyoka to me. He is my person and I know how to handle him easily,” he stated.

The Kikuyu lawmaker added that any bipartisan meeting will not take place in any high-end hotel but at the Uhuru Park – in the open – so that every citizen can follow what will be going on there.

He further noted that, having meetings in a five-star hotel at Serena will not happen under his leadership on the Bipartisan table.

“We will have our sittings at Uhuru Park and I will come along with a jerrican of tea for Azimio brothers to use,” he added.

On his part, President William Ruto assured his supporters that his only remaining task is to make sure Raila Odinga is back to his Bondo rural home.

“The only remaining job for me is now to permanently send Raila Odinga home. He will go to Bondo without his knowledge,” he assured.

Present in the rallies were a section of UDA Party elected leaders among them Kiharu’s Ndindi Nyoro, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, CS Alice Wahome among many others.

Gachagua, who also addressed, told the opposition led by Mr. Odinga that elections were decided on the ballot and, therefore, talks that could lead to inclusion of the opposition into government will not be tolerated.

Today Sunday August 6, Ruto and his brigade toured Nyeri County where they held Interdenominational Sunday service at Sagana State Lodge.

Also present at Sagana Lodge were East Africa Legislative Assembly EALA MP Kanini Kega and Nominated Member of Parliament MP Sabina Chege.
