DP Ruto Again Hints at his Possible Running Mate

Chrispen

Thursday, January 27, 2022 –Deputy President William Samoei Ruto has for another time hinted at his possible 2022 running mate, from Mt Kenya.

Just like last year when he made his first hint on Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua, the DP on Wednesday January 26 almost made this even closer but this time he decided to expand the list a little bit by adding Kandara legislator Alice Wahome.

Kandara MP Alice Wahome.

During their Wednesday rally held in Nakuru County, the second in command exhibited high signs of working with Gachagua or Wahome after he invited them to address the crowd last.

“Rigathi Gachagua anatosha, Alice Wahome anatosha, Moses Wetang’ula anatosha, Musalia Mudavadi anatosha, hustler anatosha,” the DP said as quoted by The Star.

He was making these remarks in the presence of Amani National Congress ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula both who had accopmaopnied him to his  Nakuru event.

It is not very clear which position Mudavadi could be given in the event Ruto decides to pick a running mate from Central Region.

Pressure is piling on the DP to name his running mate from the vote rich Mount Kenya part of the country which he is enjoying massive support, for now.

Isaac Mwaura, nominated Senator, on Monday claimed that Ruto was planning to pick his running mate between the two leaders.

“There is a reason as to why Alice Wahome, Ann Waiguru and Rigathi Gachagua were given the chance to speak at Bomas in that order,” Mwaura, an ally of Ruto, said on KTN News.

United Democratic Alliance supporters are eagerly waiting to see how Ruto will juggle his mind among the top politicians in his camp so that to hand one of them the running mate position.
