Saturday, August 6, 2022 –On the last day of election campaigns, every candidate was on his/ her pedestal to make last promise to the electorates.

For instance, today both Raila Odinga of Azimio la Umoja and William Ruto of Kenya Kwanza made their very last national submissions ahead of the Tuesday August 9 election exercise.

After their Nairobi rallies, Ms Martha Karua flew to her Mt Kenya backyard to summarise her campaigns as William Ruto also went there to talk to Kirigiti residents, in the same region.

DP Ruto would then wind up his night rally with a word of prayer to woo potential supporters to his side.

“Mtakubali tuombe watu wa Kirigiti. Haya tufunge macho tuombe,” Ruto urged.

The outgoing DP was captured asking their supporters to close their eyes so as to have a word of prayer together which he led himself.

General election is scheduled to take place next Tuesday August 9.
