Monday, October 25, 2021 –Prostitutes in Mtito Andei have something to smile about after Deputy President William Ruto offered to finance them with sh 1 million.
In a move that is reportedly meant to support them change their lives through having appropriate job alternatives, the second in command announced that he is ready to offer them a whopping sh 1 million in support of their yet to be launched SACCO.
This move is a unique one considering the fact that this group in the society is less considered by many including the government to be needy.
Addressing thousands of supporters in Mtito Andei on Monday October 25, Dr. Ruto instructed the prostitute’ leadership to quickly form a savings SACCO which he will deposit sh 1 million an amount that would help most of them switch to legit business to feed their families.
“Engaged small-scale businessmen and wananchi at Mtito Andei, Kambu, and Machinery and Kinyambu markets in Kibwezi East, Makueni County,” Ruto updated.
This move, if implanted properly, will help a larger section of the women in prostitution business to encourage others to join their ethical businesses to raise their families.
