Lawyer Nelson Havi today reportedly changed door locks for his Chief Executive Officer Mercy Wambua.
A popular local blog reported on what happened Friday today October 23 morning when the Law Society of Kenya LSK President Nelson Havi arrived early in the morning, took important CEO keys and went away with a promise to come back later.
“Mr. Havi arrived in the offices early in the morning and took away keys to the CEOs office,” a source claimed.
And on her arrival moments later, Mercy accessed her office using alternative keys when two men who were later identified as blacksmiths arrived saying they had been send by Mr. Havi.
They then started to change the locks before their efforts were thwarted. They had to raise the issue with their master Havi who rushed in and, in person, oversaw the exercise to its successful conclusion.
“At around 3 pm the LSK president arrived back at the LSK HQ to enforce the change of the locks. That’s the current status. In the meantime police learnt of the breach of peace at the LSK HQ and arrived there (sic),” a witness recounted.
Issues between Ms Mercy and Havi escalated on October 19 when the latter prematurely matched out of reconciliation meeting.
His aim was to solely dismiss Ms Wambua against the wishes of all the Council members who had wanted to maintain her(Mercy) in office.
This was quickly followed by a statement from the Council which termed Havi’s moves as unconstitutional in nature.
They quickly resolved to shared there statement with mainstream media despite the absence of their senior Mr. Havi who was busy with other matters.
