In a significant political move, President William Ruto is considering key Cabinet appointments which may bring on board Muhoho Kenyatta.
The younger brother of retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, former CS Mutahi Kagwe and former Interior PS Karanja Kibicho are also in the foil.
Sources close to the Kenyatta family confided to the Star that the discussions form part of a deal struck during Ruto’s Monday visit to Uhuru at his Ichaweri home in Gatundu South constituency.
Ruto called on his predecessor with official communication from both sides saying they engaged in discussions about pressing “national and regional issues”.
In a statement released by State House, the leaders emphasised the importance of achieving a broader political consensus to foster inclusive growth and progress.
