Eldoret based police have pounced on a woman who stabbed to death her boyfriend and stayed with the dead body in the same house for days.
Reports reaching this desk shows that the diseased was taking his course at Pwani University and has been in friendship with his murderer suspect for quite some time now.
Jane Wairimu 26 is accused of, last Saturday night, killing the 23 years old David Wairire from Kipkenyo area in Uasin Gishu County.
It was until neighbors realized the diseased was missing that they later noticed he had been murdered in cold blood by girlfriend and kept in the house for some days.
In her earlier self-contradictory statement to police, Jane claimed that her boyfriend had been injured in a robbery attack on Saturday night but what raised eyebrows in the fact that she had not taken an initiative to report the matter with the police until she was nabbed.
Police led by Uasin Gishu County Police Commander Ali Gitonga also noticed she, just like the diseased, had some bruises on her hands and face proving that there was a fight between the two.
Speaking to the media about the chilling incident, diseased’s brother Moffat Muriuki mentioned that the two have been living together for long but with their fair share of wrangles.
“I last saw him on Thursday last week and never spoke to him again. I was preparing to attend a neighbour’s funeral when I was called by the Wairire neighbors and informed that he had died,” recounted Muriuki.
Police found the body of the diseased at the scene tied with a rope from behind and stabbed in his abdomen, with another wound on his face.
“We suspect the man died two days before his body was found,” Gitonga said adding that they are still carrying on with their investigations while the diseased body lies at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Eldoret town.
