Elon Musk Fails to Launch Kenya’s Taifa-1 Satellite

Friday, April 14, 2013 -American tech mogule Elon Musk has, for another time, failed to launch satellite in Kenya despite the hype.

Space X, an exploration technology company owned by the U.S billionaire, on Friday, April 14, failed to launch Kenya’s Taifa-1 satellite, cancelling the exercise nearly 28 seconds to its flight.

Homenews.co.ke has, therefore, learnt that this is the third failed attempt to launch Taifa-1 after a two-day delay caused by bad what his team described as bad weather in Vandenberg Base, California.

The satellite is set to be Kenya’s first operational 3U Earth Observation Satellite vital in collecting data.

Musk was recently given a grenlight with President William Ruto to launch the Satellite in the country.
