Embattled Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala is set to be ejected from his minority leadership post at the Senate. Fresh details have emerged.
The Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party has now officially announced plans to kickstart the process due to what they term as insubordination.
Addressing the media on Saturday September 26th, ODM Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna noted that their party was nolonger interested in Malala’s services and he ought to be send packing this early.
According to the fire breathing Sifuna, they had collected damning evidence showing how the senator nolonger serves their interests in the Senate despite having handed him the position in good faith. They also claimed the Senator is currently facing public distrust which he has to first deal with to clear himself before he can join their team.
Mr. Sifuna also observed that Senator Malala was now working with Deputy President William Ruto in a rare dalliance against the mandate given to him by ODM.
“ODM singlehandedly gave Senator Malala that position to push the agenda of the minority side both inside and outside the House, but he has terribly and spectacularly failed.
“I will personally push for his removal, and my party will not stand in the way of such an idea,” Sifuna told Daily Nation in their presser.
Just a few days ago, vocal DP William Ruto’s top ally Kipchumba Murkomen had per-emptied plans to punish Malala after the senator opposed the Third Generation County Revenue Allocation formula that took the Senate over 9 sitting to solve.
Malala is also not in good books with his own Amani National Congress ANC Party leadership which he has betrayed not once and termed Muasalia Mudavadi’s presidential ambitions as mere dreams that will never count at the end of the day.
Malala was handed the minority sword by PDM party which had severed ways with Bungoma senator Mosses Wetang’ula.
