Tuesday, October 12, 2021 –ODM Nominated Member of Parliament Wilson Sossion has formally decamped to the Hustler Nation which he says is concerned with what Kenya requires.
In his Sunday October 11 speech, the former Kenya National Union of Teachers KNUT Secretary General stated that only the DP thinks of the poor people unlike his boss in ODM Raila who seems to be leaning more towards the wealthy in the society.
“I can count you as amongst the few brave and fearless leaders to take that route in the African continent,” Sossion stated.
He promised the DP that he would make sure every teacher in the country votes for him in 2022. He argued that throughout his tenure at KNUT he had a good rapport with millions of members and this will be a big boost for the DP’s quest for the top seat.
Sources close to the unionist claimed that Sossion is warming up for the Bomet County Senatorial seat in 2022 which he may vie on Ruto’s UDA ticket.
But even as Sossion purport to have decamped from ODM, the current Bomet Senator Christopher Lang’at has already read mischief and warned the DP not to believe the former teachers’ boss.
In his statement to the DP, Lang’at told Ruto that Sossion is an ODM Party mole planted in the UDA Party and his moves should not be monitored closely.
“He is still an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party as a member and pays full allegiance to his party boss Raila Odinga and not Ruto as he might want to make us believe, so be careful,” Lang’at claimed.
But in a sharp rejoinder, Sossion said the senator should be ready for an issue based contest and not propaganda.
“This seat does not belong to anyone, it does not belong to Christopher or Sossion, our politics should be issue-based since it is the people who decide so there is no cause for anyone to get irritated for nothing. Ruto needs numbers, I have fought many battles and I know the strategy of winning it, it is the numbers,” he said.
Sossion and Lang’at will be facing off in party’s primaries should Ruto decide not to use direct ticket.
