Saturday, June 19, 2021 -Lawyer Miguna Miguna has announced plans to vie for presidency in the next general elections.
Citing lack of serious candidates who can beat Deputy President William Ruto, Miguna said through a morning tweet that he will be throwing himself into the ring in 2022.
Speaking just moments after new presidential race entrant Mukhisa Kituyi’s nudes went viral on Thursday June 17, Miguna argued that it will be difficult for the politician to convince Kenyans on his integrity having already been compromised. He said the viral video had dealt a big blow to Mr. Kituyi and that the best thing he could do next is to surrender from politics for a while so that he can wait to fight another time.
The firebrand lawyer further rubbished ‘Cerelac Team’ made up of Gideon Moi, Moses Wetang’ula, Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka terming them a joke in politics.
Comparing the alliance to William Ruto’s Hustler Nation, Miguna – on June 18 – charged that the current candidates will be beaten hands-down by the Hustler.
“Mukhisa Kituyi amekwama with his malfunctioning instrument. Both despot Njee Meta Meta and Conman Raila Odinga are POLITICALLY DEAD. The KANU Cerelac babies are swimming in mud. I’ve to vie for the President of the Republic, even from exile, to stop William Ruto. Viva!,” said Miguna Miguna.

And defending his decision to vie for the top seat, he noted that he is the only last man standing who can stop ‘Ruto wave’ in the country.
Though he is under exile in Canada, the self-proclaimed NRM General promised to launch online campaigns ahead of the 2022 elections.
Miguna in 2017 vied for Nairobi gubernatorial seat which he lost to Mike Mbuvi Sonko.
