Friday, April 21, 2023 –United States US-based Kenyan content creator Andrew Kibe is not arrested as it had been reported on social media.
A post went viral from a Citizen Tv-related handle on Friday April 21 claiming that the former Kiss100 morning presenter had been arrested for drugs.
“Controversial US based content creator Andrew Kibe arrested in California over drug related offenses. More details to follow,” the controversial post read.
However, in a shot while, Citizen Tv would flag the post as fake and that the post had been created by a pseudo account that has only 1,200 followers.
Citizen Tv handle would re-post the fake post but added a red line across to show members of the public that the post was not theirs.
“Why would anyone wish Andrew Kibe to be arrested? Deliverance from mediocrity is needed for some Kenyans,” Henry Kabogo commented.
Mr. Kibe moved to the United States immediately after losing job at Group Africa’s Kiss 100 a few years ago.
He has since reinvented himself with a contentful YouTube channel that focuses on lifestyle and controversy.
