Friday, June 21, 2024 –Farah Maalim daughter, Amina Farah M., has taken to her social media to clarify that she still differs with her parent on the Finance Bill 2024.
On Friday June 21, the daughter to the seasoned lawmaker, was not happy with a section of social media tweeps claiming that she was nolonger with them and was in support of father’s actions on the contentious Bill.
“Tweeps, I did not vote for the finance bill. Talk to them directly priss! My position on #RejectFinanceBiill2024 has been clear all through, you’re wasting bundles on displaced aggression,” she responded to Kenyans who had accused her of supporting the questionable bill.
On the same note, her father MP Farah Maalim has been suspended by the Wiper Party leadership for supporting the Bill despite warning.
All Azimio la Umoja members had been asked not to vote for the Bill and that whoever that was going to disobey the party’s directive would be punished.
ODM party led by Raila Odinga has since announced that, atleast, two MPs will be punished for supporting the Bill which most Kenyans are against.
The Bill, unfortunately, has won in the House for the second time of its reading.
