Tuesday, October 8, 2024 –Deputy Party leader at Wiper Party, Farah Maalim, has rejected his reappointment as DPL in the Wiper Party.
In a statement he delivered today Tuesday October 8, MP Farah noted that he had not made any official request to be retained as deputy party boss after he was suspended weeks ago.
He, therefore, told the Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to relieve him of the role because he has lost hope in the party position.
“For the information of all I never asked the Wiper Party to retain me as Deputy Party Leader. It came as a surprise when I read in SM that I was gazette as the Deputy Party Leader.
“I have absolutely no intention of retaining the position of Deputy Party Leader in the Wiper Party. I politely decline the offer & will communicate the same to the ORPP”.
Maalim was shown the door weeks ago after he was accused of going against the wishes of the party on the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua impeachment debate.
Maalim is among the party members who are supporting the exercise to see off the DP following the ongoing motion over his conduct.
