Tuesday, January 9, 2023 -Night horror accident today night killed 15 persons after a 14-seater matatu they were travelling in collided with a bus along the Nakuru- Eldoret Highway.
Police confirmed the incident adding that the cause of the accident was due to carelessness and speeding.
Ina statement to the newsroom, former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko felt sorry for the victims of the accident.
“It’s very painful to wake up asubuhi unaskia ati 15 people have died in an accident this morning along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway,” he said.
The victims are eight adults and seven children, including five girls.
This accident involved a bus and a 14-seater matatu.
The police said 38 other persons escaped unhurt in the crash.
By the time of going to the press, the death toll had surged to over 20 in separate accidents within two days, as reported by the police.
