Saturday, January 29, 2022 –Suspicious men are on the radar of security agencies after their CCTV footage was leaked to the public.
The five men, according to the CCTV clip doing rounds on social media, were captured carrying out an illegal surveillance at Pride Inn Beach Hotel, Flamingo Beach Hotel and Club Volume in Mombasa County with an aim of, perhaps, perpetrating a terror attack.
In the footage retrieved and doing rounds on various platforms, one of the men was busy communicating in a Somali language to an unknown persons as he took photos of the busy beach hotels.
In a long message posted by a worried Kenyan who had a chance to witness the group make suspicious moves around the facilities, the suspects arrived and started moving in and out of the hotels as they took photos of both the entrance and exit areas.
“One of the suspects was communicating in Somali language but he’s not Somali. They were just seen taking pictures and surveying the exit and entry points of the premise. This is the detailed evidence from the CCTV footage.
“Dear Colleagues, I have shared the motor vehicles registration numbers for possible arrest of the occupants,” the message read in part.
The five are highly suspected to be terror suspects mapping and carrying out surveillance for the purposes of committing a terror attack in hotels and other social gathering places around Mombasa County.
This is happening against the backdrop of an alarm that there is a militia planning to carry out a terror attack in the country.
