Tuesday, February 9, 2021 – Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata’s new style of politics looks weak and unreliable.

Going by the Tuesday February 9 interview, Kang’ata who was appearing on the same Tv show with his former counterpart for Ndaragwa Mr. Jeremiah Kioni looked resigned and like a person who had been beaten to submission.

For instance, it was very disturbing to hear someone who purports to have schooled Law to  claim on live TV that locals in his area had advised him on BBI instead of him as a legislator advising them on what the Building Bridges Initiative BBI is.

Kang’ata has been hanging on a flimsy explanation that BBI was unpopular in his backyard because he was “told by his voters” that is not good. A lawyer being told by layman about a law. This means there must be something wrong with Kang’ata.

Kioni immediately schooled him by reminding him that his duty as a leader was to lead and not to be led by the people who need leadership.

“It is disturbing that Irungu Kang’ata can claim that BBI is unpopular because he carried out a survey and was told by locals that it is a bad Document. What he is not telling us is what did he tell them (voters)about BBI,” Kioni wondered.

And simple quick question would be, if they have been claiming they have never seen the BBI Books, how comes now they can advise an elected Senator practicing Law on what is good and whats not good in BBI.

Mr. Kang’ata who on Tuesday lost his plum Chief Whip position has switcedh back to his former self (Tangatanga) where he loudly says he belongs.
