Former Standard Group Journalist Evelyne Ogutu is Dead

Saturday, November 12, 2022 –Ex-Standard Group journalist Evelyne Ogutu is reported to have died after delivering twin babies.

A source who spoke to Homenews.co.ke revealed that the media personality succumbed to a cesarean section procedure conducted at a city facility.

Her twin-born were alive and were being closely monitored by the time this report was being prepared for publication.

Former colleagues have continued expressing their heartfelt condolences and eulogised Ms Ogutu as friendly and a dedicated lady

“Condolences to the family and friends of Evelyne Ogutu. Such tragic and bad news,” economist Mohamed Wehliye mourned from Saudi Arabia.

Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi also took to his Twitter handle to describe the late as a dedicated lady who many will miss.

He was followed by Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party communication Director Philip Etale who mourned this death as quite devastating.

“This is devastating news. I can’t believe this,” he stated.

A quick background check indicated to us that the late Ogutu enjoyed an illustrious career in the communication industry, having worked with reputable organization in Nairobi.

Apart from having served as communication consultant for MediaEdge Public Relations, she was also the head of communications at the Heinrich Boll Foundation.

The Communication & Public Policy Specialist schooled at the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication KIMC in Nairobi before furthering her studies at Kenyatta University KU.
