Wednesday, January 18, 2023 –Raila Odinga of Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition won the August 9 election by a big margin against his then competitor, William Ruto.
In a new twist during media interview of Wednesday January 18 evening, Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni claimed that their coalition leader garnered a whopping 8,170,355 votes against Ruto’s 5,919,973 votes.
He added that they have a report which proves beyond doubt that Odinga beat, by a big gap, Kenya Kwanza candidate William Ruto in the August 9 polls.
Not less than 144 Constituencies had altered results in favour of Kenya Kwanza candidate in a scheme made possible by some IEBC officials.
“59 percent of the constituencies examined showed results that cannot be verified with absolute certainty but again, in the same document, what has been verified so far shows that Raila won the elections with 8,170,355 votes representing 57.53 of the votes cast. Ruto got 5,915,973 votes representing 41.66 pc of the votes cast.
“What we have seen in one of the pages is that at one point, 144 constituencies had their results verified and often at times those results are far from the results announced by IEBC,” said Kioni.
The Jubilee official alleged that majority of the malpractices took place around their Mt Kenya Region which has a larger vote basket.
“Most of the manipulation happened within the Mt. Kenya region,” said the Jubilee Secretary General, Mr Kioni.
A comprehensive report on this from Vanguard Africa will officially be issued once the coalition leader, Raila Odinga, jets back into the country from South Africa where he is hosting a series of meetings in his capacity as the AU High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa.
