Thursday, September 1, 2022 –Wanjiku Muhoho who lost in the recent Nyandarua Woman Representative election has thrown in the towel.
Taking to her social media platforms on Thursday September 1, Ms Muhoho who is also a cousin to the outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta, recounted how electorates lied to her that they will be standing with her, only to turn against this promise in the ballot.
She emotionally shared that she had been duped by the same persons who had vowed to stand with her and offer her a chance to lead them in that capacity.
She has mentioned that she will therefore not be going to court to protest the results and that, further, she has no intentions of vying for anything any other day.
“The voters told me they will vote for me and they will not consider the party. I would hear them say the grassroots voters are with you. I will be following politics from Facebook from now on,” she stated in her post.
This was the second time in her life to lose. She was beaten by the incumbent Faith Gitau of United Democratic Alliance.
Her first attempt in 2017 saw Gitau beat her in their Jubilee Party primaries.
