Friday, October 25, 2024 –Former Ndaragwa Member of Parliament Jeremiah Kioni has taken issue with embattled Deputy President Rigathai Gachagua’s past conduct.

Speaking at a wedding function organised by Lawyer Ndegwa Njiri this week, Kioni called out Gachagua for misleading the community to Kenya Kwanza government.

Kioni added that if it was not for the DP ‘wrong’ political affiliation, today, the region would not be facing the political turmoil and confusion currently witnessed.

The politician noted that the challenges facing the DP are self-authored because he was so rigid and firm on anyone who advised him to abandon Ruto for someone else during the last campaigns.

“As we sympathise with Gachagua let’s also remember that we are where we are because he led us into these problems,” stated Me. Kioni.

He argued that during Gachagua’s prime days in government, he(Gachagua) asserted authority that his friendship with Dr. Ruto cannot be questioned and that their gentleman’s agreement was enough security for the region.

“He stood and told us in our face that he cannot be betrayed and that his agreement with Ruto was based on a gentleman’s trust. Look at the idiot now,” recounted Mr. Kioni.

Revisiting the stolen sheep from Uhuru Kenyatta’s farm in Kiambu, Kioni said, the same people who used to insult and harm Uhuru Kenyatta and his team are now getting hospitalised because of the same government they purported to defend.

He, therefore, challenged the embattled deputy president to consider apologising to them even as the Azimio wing sympathises with what he is being taken through by his own government.
