Gachagua Brags of Funding Uhuru Campaigns

Tuesday, August 3, 2021 -Embattled Mathira lawmaker Rigathi Gachagua has sensationally claimed that he bankrolled Jubilee Party’s 2013 and 2017 general elections.

Making these damning revelations on an interview held on Monday August 2, Dundapost.com reported how the legislator bragged that Uhuru approached him in 2012 asking  for financial support top finance political activities around their Mt. Kenya Region what he accepted.

And in the repeat presidential elections, the MP also single-handedly financed the Jubilee Party campaigns and rallies in the entire Nyeri Region and that not Uhuru nor Ruto used any of their coin.

“In 2013, Uhuru came to me and I asked me to fund to his campaigns and nobody had an issue with me. I gave money to him as a friend. In 2017 during the repeat Presidential elections,  I told DP Ruto and Uhuru and leave Nyeri for me, where I used my money. I used millions to get cars, I erected billboards and mobilized people to run the campaigns,” Gachagua stated declining to tell how much money he spent.

The MP also bragged having worked as President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Personal Assistant in 2002 after he(Uhuru) saw alot of potential in him.

And asked to comment on the news about his boss Ruto having been blocked to travel to Uganda last Monday, Gachagua said this was something which was well planned in a special meeting organized during the  weekend at the home of a top government official.
