Sacked Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua will help a great deal in removing President William Ruto from power; but one weakness he(Gachagua) has is that he cannot be relied upon to accomplish a serious mission.
Gachagua is not only reckless but also lacks basic strategy that anyone can rely on to make a serious plan complete.
In 2027, Gachagua can help a lot in propelling someone else to power but, again, this requires a lot of coaching for him to carry along the Kikuyu vote basket to someone else.
Making Ruto a one-term president is easily said that done. Gachagua has, not once, vowed to make this a reality. But he needs someone else for this to go through.
What can make this work even easier is when Gachagua, Matiang’i and Raila combine forces. This will make Ruto and any of his attempts to rig even complicated to achieve.
Raila needs to leave Ruto for this mission to be easy. If he decides to stick with him, this mission will remain a daunting one. But still a possible one.
