Saturday, October 5, 20214 –Officials from the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua office visited Cabinet Secretary for Cooperatives and MSMEs Development Wycliffe Oparanya to discuss development.
In an update shared by CS Oparanya today Saturday October 5, the DP is seeking to address the challenges facing coffee farmers especially in his Mt. Kenya Region.
“Today, a team from the office of Deputy president, led by the chief of Staff paid a courtesy visit to the ministry of cooperatives to explore sustainable strategies to enhance coffee production and improve farmers livelihoods,” Wrote Oparanya.
However, missing in the meeting was the deputy president who is currently facing an impeachment motion which is already at the public participation stage.
Speaking on Citizen TV yesterday, Gachagua reminded his boss William Ruto to keep only one promise of not frustrating him.
He explained that, though it has been hard for the president to keep his many promises, one that he can easily keep is that of not fighting his deputy because it does not require funding.
