Impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has joined politicians who want President William Ruto to reconstitute the electoral Commission, IEBC.
In his statement made today Sunday, the former DP observed that the delays witnessed in the formation of the IEBC are informed by unwillingness by leaders in the current regime who do not want to prepare for the next election.
“The electoral commission must be in place three years before the election, now we have two and half years remaining and there is no IEBC and people can read mischief into why it has not yet been reconstituted. We are calling for the reconstitution of IEBC urgently so that they can start planning for next election”.
Mr. Gachagua made the remarks at PCEA Kasarani-Mwiki Church in Kasarani Constituency, Nairobi County where several leaders, including Murang’a Senator Hon Nyutu, Nyandarua Senator Methu Muhia, members of parliament Hon. James Gakuya (Embakasi North), John Kaguchia (Mukurweini), Wanjiku Muhia (Kipipiri), Njeri Maina (Kirinyaga Woman rep) were also present.
Members of the county assembly led by Sam Kago among others worshipped with him too.
