Rigathi Gachagua has indicated that he still has a wide chance of running for any elective seat in this country.
In his State of the Nation address today Tuesday, the embattled Mt. Kenya politician remarked that he will run for any seat in 2927; his impeachment not withstanding.
“No one can stop me from running. William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta ran and won the presidency while battling their case at the Hague. I also has my case ongoing and it will be determined in due course,” he asserted.
The former DP further explained that the Constitution of Kenya allows one to run for a seat as long as he or she has an active case in Court.
Gachagua also shared that President Ruto offered him Ksh.2 billion to resign from office so that he could be able to run in the 2027 elections.
Ruto also told him that resigning will leave him with many privileges including State security, cars and other diplomatic treatments.
“I am not selfish and don’t need to be an elected leader in this country; however, if I want to, I will,” said Gachagua while accusing his former boss of bribing lawmakers with millions of cash to oust him.
He, however, assured his supporters that come 2027, Kenya will have a different president and not Ruto.
