Gideon Moi is Uhuru’s Favourite, Manyora

Tuesday April 6, 2021 -President Uhuru Kenyatta is interested in Gideon Moi’s Presidency after his term ends but he is just coiling around until the right time.

Renowned political analyst Herman Manyora, through his popular YouTube Channel Take It or Leave, has stated that among the One Kenya Alliance principals, only one candidate is going to be handed that baton and who remains Gideon Moi son of the late former President Daniel Moi.

That even if Uhuru will pick on Kalonzo or Mudavadi, the hidden intention will be to push the Gideon brand for the country. That Uhuru Kenyatta is not planning to fairly hand over power to any other person unless that person is Gideon or a very trusted friend to Gideon who will finally leave the latter in power.

Mr. Manyora went ahead to claim that not even Raila Odinga can be near the list of those Uhuru is planning to install.

He went on to warn both ODM Party and the “Celeriac group” against sitting pretty comfortable waiting for free gifts from Kenyatta who has already made up his mind for Gideon Moi as his preferred presidential candidate.

The analyst however reasoned that between Gideon and DP Ruto, the latter will beat the former hands down anytime any day of elections.

“Gideon Moi is a prince; a prince does not need to fight for power; he is given. I know he is Uhuru’s favourite candidate, but he does not have what it takes to win elections,” Manyora said.

He also added that shall Gideon be the flag bearer for the One Kenya Alliance team, Ruto will have a field day in 2022.

“If he is chosen as the One Kenya Alliance candidate, he will be breakfast for William Ruto. Despite being Uhuru’s favourite, he would be floored by Ruto by 7:30am when polling stations are opened,” Manyora opined.

Succession politics in the country have started taking shape as 2022 nears with new formations coming up to test waters. Among the new formations already testing the ground in the One Kenya Alliance made up of Gideon, Wetang’ula, Kalonzo and Musalia while, on the other hand, William Ruto is reportedly gravitating towards Raila Odinga.

But the essential question which is yet to get a clear answer is who each group will be picking to steer ahead the rest and who will be the deputy. That remains another puzzle to unravel as time ticks.
