Thursday, October 12, 2023 –Main suspect in Eric Maigo chilling murder case has been found to be an adult over 18 years and can stand a full trial in court.
Doctors’ latest report has put to rest speculations as to whether the girl who allegedly murdered lover Erick Maigo in his Woodley house was a grown up or not.
Some section had earlier argued on social media that the lady who was pictured scaling the electric fence after committing the crime was below 18 years of age.
They had started asking why and how the Nairobi Hospital Finance Director Eric Maigo was dating an underage girl.
But, now, doctors at the Mathari Mental Hospital in Nairobi have released a report confirming that the suspect, Anne Adhiambo, is of sound mind and above 18 years who can be tried in court.
After several laboratory tests, Ms. Adhiambo was found to be between 20 and 21 years of age contrary to what had been speculated out there.
Police launched a manhunt against her immediately after she was captured at Eric Maigo Woodley Estate home escaping through the wall fence.
Luckily, she would, on September 26, be flushed out from her hideout in Olympic Kibra as detectives intensified a dragnet.
Maigo’s lifeless body was discovered in his house with 25 stab wounds.
After her arraignment on September 27, the prosecution requested more days to enable more investigations and establish both her mental state and fitness before commencing a trial.
She had argued before the court that she acted in self defence as the late wanted to rape her before she gave him consent.
The tests have since been confirmed positive.
