Thursday, January 13, 2023 –Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga today received President William Ruto in her county for development discussions.
Taking to her Twitter handle on Friday January 13 afternoon, Ms Wanga warmly welcomed the president together with his entourage.
She added that her government is working with the national government to achieve its development agenda for the benefit of locals.
“With pleasure, I joined H.E. President @WilliamsRuto for a consultative meeting at Tom Mboya University in Homa Bay town. We are working with the National Government to improve and strengthen our county’s development efforts. Stay tuned for more details later. She would later share her development roadmap with the head of State in an event that was also attended by ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo as well as Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
“At Tom Mboya University in Homa Bay Town, Governor @gladyswanga presented Homa Bay’s development plan that focused on healthcare, housing, road infrastructure and trade, especially in relation to fishing,” Ruto updated.
The president also noted that present in the function was Senator Otieno Kajwang, Members of County Assembly MCAs and Members of Parliament MPs.
