Sunday, March 26, 2023 – Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has likened election of the current government to the Biblical kingship of Soul in Israel.
The controversial Azimio La Umoja politician told the church in Embakasi that, sometimes, God will give you leaders to punish you. He will make it easy for a politician to rig in an election so that defiant people are punished.
For instance, in Israel, people cried for a leader and God gave them King Soul who ended up punishing the people, King Hebron also punished the people.
“Here in Kenya, we are being punished so that we open our eyes. Can I ask you; can God choose a leader like Gachagua; what about Ruto? “Babu Owino posed.
Azimio leader today Sunday March 26 joined the congregation at Jesus Teaching Ministry in Embakasi for their Sunday service.
Their leaders, Raila Odinga, Martha Karua and Kalonzo Musyoka were all present ahead of their Monday March 27 protests in the city.
Police have already pronounced themselves on the mass action with Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome warning those who will be showing up on the streets against acts of lawlessness.
“If you have intentions of bringing stones, rungu, firearms you will face the law. You will have it rough,” IG Koome announced.
The IG went on to caution the opposition against misusing the jobless youth in the guise of fighting for their future.
