Wednesday, December 13, 2023 -Government has ordered disbandling of major power lines so as to end countrywide electricity blackouts experienced frequently.

On Wednesday December 13, President William Ruto ordered the unbundling of Kenya Power transmission lines saying this could end perennial nationwide blackouts that have become common in the country.

It was agreed during a Cabinet meeting held today in the Statehouse Nairobi.

The Cabinet reached ro an agreement that the unbundling would ensure that power failure in one part of the nation does not spread to several other areas.
