Government cripples Sossion’s KNUT, promotes non-members

Thursday, January 7, 2021 -Government of Jubilee is finally in the final stages of completely deflating the giant teachers union KNUT.

Mr. Sossion

Around 32,000 teachers will be promoted and salary added as a reward for their moving away from the Kenya National Union of Teachers KNUT which is led by Mr. Wilson Sossion.

As reported by The Standard on Thursday January 7th, a total of 32,000 teachers from B5 job Group would be promoted to the top C1 job Group with lucrative packages.

The woes of KNUT and its Secretary General Sossion started when it rejected the Career Progressive Guidelines CPGs as was proposed by TSC.

News reaching this desk now confirm that another group of over 15,000 non-KNUT teachers will also be promoted in the near future.

KNUT will therefore be left in shambles fowling this development since more membership is poised to follow suit due to the attractive and newly introduced priorities for all the teachers who have left the union.

Teachers Service Commission Headquarters Nairobi

The union, according to records which Homenews.co.ke has also seen, had 20,350 teacher members who have drastically dropped down to only 136,000.

Our sources disclosed that the Sossion led KNUT rejected plans to promote teachers through the Career Progressive Guidelines citing that the only fair way to promote their membership would be through selective proficiency unlike CPG which picked on anyone even in the low cadre group.

And now with the massive exit of members from KNUT, the union has been caused great loss of a whopping sh 1.6 billion.

Sossion who is the KNUT long time serving secretary general has been on constant warpath with the TSC which now seems to have finally managed to deflate his tires.
