Wednesday, August 3, 2022 –Interior Permanent Secretary Karanja Kibicho has clarified that Kisumu County is not among the elections hotspots earmarked in the country ahedas of August 9 general election.

The PS verified that they had done their security groundwork quite well and ascertained that Nyanza Region is the safest places so far for anybody to travel right now in the country.
He wondered why the US government had issued a misleading advisory on its citizens without first consulting with Kenyan government.
“I really do not know and I cannot speak for the USA. I can only do that for Kenya. But again we are happy they have retracted the advisory,” he observed.
