Revealing this to the public, Ruto’s communication head David Mugonyi said that the second in command was not amused to find new directives which required him to first clear with the head of Public Service and Secretary to Cabinet before proceeding with his plans.

“When he got to the airport, he was asked to seek clearance from Head of Public Service and Secretary to Cabinet. are surprised.

“This has never happened in the last nine years,” David Mugonyi told media.

But according to self-proclaimed Hustlers Spokesperson Dennis Itumbi, the orders blocking his boss Ruto from traveling today came from Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i.

“Interior CS, The Ruaraka thief, @Fredmatiangi has issued instructions stopping DP @WilliamsRuto from flying to Uganda this afternoon. He was headed for a private visit. Ndindi, Benjamin Tayari & others on his entourage were initially also stopped. Hii madharau itaisha tu!” Ituimbi claimed.

It is reported that the DP had to spend more than five hours at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport JKIA before he decided to return to Karen home.

Reacting on the same, Ruto simply used a coded line to display his frustrations and displeasure with what had happened.

DP’s tour is coming just weeks after he had another one where he met with Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni with whom they spent time together at his home in Mbarara.
