Government to Target 10K People for Jobs Abroad

Friday, September 20, 2024 –Government of Kenya has announced to support those willing to fly out of the country to seek greener pastures abroad.

In an announcement by Labour Cabinet Secretary CS Alfred Mutua on Thursday September 20, a meeting held three weeks ago had arrived at a way to help agencies process export of labour with a lot of ease in a move aimed at helping more Kenyans secure well paying positions abroad.

Dr. Alfred Mitua further said, the new policy targets more people to go out of the country every single week under his ministry.

“My target is to get five to ten thousand people to go out of this country every week,” he made the promise.

The Labour CS added that he had agreed with financial institutions to help fund Kenyans who are willing to travel abroad for greener pastures or for fresh opportunities

He also said, their government will expedite any travel documents application to necessitate this exercise.
