Friday, September 17, 2021 -Vihiga County Deputy Governor Patrick Saisi is locked in a supremacy battle with his boss Governor Wilbur Ottichilo over trust related issues.
This has continued even after Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party leader Raila Odinga recently attempted to reconcile them during a public function in the area.
Confirming this to the media yesterday, Saisi claimed that with his boss, things have not been rosy since last year when the Governor started linking him to leakage of important meeting discussions to imaginary third parties.
Their close associates have tried to reconcile them but things have been worsening by day and have reached a point they cannot see eye to eye.
In an interview with a local media, Mr. Saisi also divulged how his juniors had been paid their salaries but not him; linking this to the ongoing wrangles.
“I checked my account balance on Monday and it was not credited. I am still waiting but I think this is a plot to frustrate me, and this is barbaric,” Saisi remarked.
He also claimed that he doesn’t get the required attention or recognition as the substantial deputy governor of Vihiga County.
And reacting to this, County Communication Director Victor Wetende said Mr. Saisi gets information in time as it is required by law. He also said that the deputy governor was misleading the public on the salary issue for sympathy reasons.
“Why should his salary be withheld? I have checked with finance and records show he has been paid for two months he claims not to have received his salary,” Watenge responded.
The Communication head added that Saisi’s removal from WhatsApp group was informed by the fact that there was need to make sure there is free flow on information which he was blocking on interfering with during discussions.
