Wednesday, March 16, 2022 –Outspoken Machakos County Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has defended Governor Charity Ngilu against incessant attacks from Wiper Democratic Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka.

Addressing in a local political rally in Ukambani on Wednesday March 15, Dr. Mutua defended fellow Governor Ngilu whom he absolved from any blame over the Azimio-OKA agreement stalemate witnessed recently at KICC.

Mutua said Ms Ngilu should not be blamed for the stalemate because everyone knows who was delaying the whole process.

The Governor stated that he was at KICC and knows who kept everybody waiting for long hours and this should not be diverted to someone else.

“Kalonzo please you are now in Azimio, though late. You must now calm and work with the rest of us. You can’t start blaming Charity Ngilu on this one. Please spare that widow, she deserves respect as the only lady leader from this region,” Mutua frowned.

Mutua and Kalonzo’s back and forth has been witnessed in recent times as the former has held his ground that the latter had terribly failed their region for many years.

The three lower Easter governors, Charity Ngilu(Kitui County), Alfred Mutua(Machakos County) and Kivutha Kibwana(Makueni County) have all rejected Kalonzo’s leadership style and joined hands to chant their own political path what has left the Wiper Party leader high and dry on an island.

Kalonzo’s entry into Azimio la Umoja Movement still hangs in the balance as his role in the camp is yet to be spelled out clearly.
