Friday, May 24, 2024 –Haitians in the United States of America went to the streets in protest of the Joe Biden-William Ruto plans to send troops to Haiti.

On Thursday May 23, demonstrations rocked Kenya’s Embassy in the U.S.A as the angry Haitians expressed their dissatisfaction with the US-Kenya plans.

The Caribbeans were spotted lifting placards in protest of Presidents William Ruto’s resolve to send 1000 troops in their war-torn nation.

The placards were written with direct messages to the Kenyan head of State, William Ruto and American’s Joe Biden, to desist from going to Haiti.

They were also chanting President William Ruto’s name demanding the immediate reverse of the decision to deploy forces in their country.

The Haiti nationals claimed that the United States of America U.S.A was the one sponsoring violent activities in their country then turning around as the saviour of the situation.

“What Ruto is about to do is to invade Haiti. Haitians say no to occupation,” the protestors said as they vented their frustrations over the planned deployment.

In his speech at the White House on Thursday, Ruto had indicated that the mission was approved in Kenya and that the USA had no hand in it.

“Kenya’s participation in Haiti is not about what happened in the past. The USA cannot commit Kenya to Haiti. It is we, the people of Kenya who made this decision.

“I am the President of Kenya and it is me who made the decision. It is the role of the people of Kenya to commit their troops using their structure, we have gone through all the processes in Kenya,” President Ruto added.

On his part, Joe Biden clarified that his government could not send Americans forces to Haiti because of speculations such as US having ulterior motives. Biden said, any direct activities by the American police would trigger a misinterpretation of facts.
