Monday, June 14, 2021 -Law Society of Kenya LSK President Nelson Havi has shifted his layalty from William Ruto’s camp to Musalia Mudavadi’s ANC Party.
Revealing this news on Sunday June 13 during a church service, Mr. Havi promised to start campaigns for Westlands parliamentary seat which is currently being held by Mr. Timothy Wanyonyi – brother to Moses Wetang’ula.
“I have come here to ask for a chance to serve you in parliament as the Member of Parliament for Westlands,” LSK President told the congregants.
He argued that his coming into leadership is informed by the current poor status of many people in Westlands where jobs and lack of well-being is on a steady rise.
“I have a direction, which is the Amani National Congress. The problem with Westlands is the lack of well-being and lack of jobs. That is why the agenda for ANC is to improve the current economic state of the area,” he added.
Havi’s turning point can be attributed to his meeting with Mudavadi on Monday April 19 in which the two discussed in length a myriad of leadership issues including Constitutional matters.
Mudavadi described their meeting as a significant one and which reflected more on the way forward for Kenyans.
“Today we deliberated on Constitutional and Legal matters of significance and their implications on the Kenyan people,” mentioned Mr. Mudavadi after their meeting.
The change of mind by Havi from Ruto to Musalia could be a blow to the DP’s camp which has been enjoying his support especially on matters BBI.
