Thursday, July 20, 2023 –A county government official was stabbed to death by her domestic worker in Kilifi, Coastal Kenya on Thursday July 20.
Rahab Karisa, the Kilifi Chief County Officer for Fisheries and Blue Economy, was stabbed on Thursday by her house help at her Mnarani home.
Lead detective Domnic Otieno, made this confirmation saying investigations had been intensified on the gruesome matter.
“Yes, the incident occurred, and it’s under investigation, but the CCIO can divulge more,” Otieno was quoted by a local news outlet.
According to the County Criminal Investigation Officer CCIO David Siele, more details on the matter will be issued in due course.
The slain county official had just jetted in from her Europe work tour on Wednesday July 19 when altercation ensued between her and her killer house help.
Shortly, Karisa’s body would be discovered lying in a heavy pool of blood in her bedroom as her official documents strewn all over the flour and some on her bed.
The police would be called at the scene and who ferried her lifeless body to a nearby morgue awaiting postmortem.
The cause of their fight was yet to be determined but the police promised to dig deeper and establish the motive behind the incident.
The house help is still at large.
