Sunday, December 12, 2021 –Kenya Revenue Authority KRA official was on Saturday December 12 stung to death by a swarm of marauding bees at Red Brick area Majengo, Mombasa County.
The bees attacked the healthy KRA staff John Muthine Mutwiri who has been working at the KRA Investigation and Enforcement department. The bees are said to have entered into his car in which two others were also sited but escaped safe.
A source revealed to Homenews.co.ke that those who were with him but escaped unhurt are Mr. Hezekiel Gikambi and Maurice Kinyua.
“The bees entered the vehicle and they alighted to get safety outside. They all ran in different directions,” the report filed under OB.NO.41/11/12/2021 indicated.
Overwhelmed by the stings, the victim is reported to have fallen on the ground at a nearby garage where well-wishers rushed him to hospital where he was shortly pronounced dead.
His lifeless body was immediately taken to Coast General Hospital Mortuary awaiting to undergo an autopsy exercise.
“Through the assistance of the garage owner one Mwaruwa Chikophe he managed to get a Tuk Tuk and rushed him to hospital,” a witness divulged.
Police officers from Makupa Police Station arrived at the scene to take control.
