Monday October 11, 2021 -Tamasha Restaurant Proprietor Mr. JR Githere died in a grisly road crash that took place on Saturday October night.
In a post made by the ex-Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Saturday October 9, the diseased was crashed when his car slammed into an oncoming truck killing him on the spot.
According to photos which Homenews.co.ke has seen, the late was driving a Range Rover Sport when the accident happened. The car was mangled beyond repair.
“JR Githere mwenye shamba ya Tamasha Hurlingham aliingia chini ya Lorry. Na hii ni evidensi yakuwa ametuacha. Post sana kwa Familia. Mungu awape nguvu. (JR Githere, who claims Tamasha Restaurant in Hurlingham, had slammed into the underside of the truck. This is the proof of him leaving us, my sympathies to the family, may God invigorate them),” Sonko grieved.
Also mourning the businessman, Kameme FM’s Muthee Kiengei condoled that the late was a a close companion and who had respect for friends regardless of their age and status in the society.
“I have lost a Friend, Jr Githere from Naivasha and furthermore the proprietor of Tamasha Hurlingham Has Gone to be with the Lord after a Tragic accident….. Rest Well Senior as we used to call one another,” he composed.
Current data from the National Transport and Safety Authority NTSA shows that there has been a 25 percent increment in accidents with a total of 3,212 persons having died between January 2022 and September 20, 202.
