Hussein Replaces Kanze Dena in new Appointments

Friday, October 14, 2022 –Hussein Mohamed, former Citizen Tv News anchor, has replaced Ms Kanze Dena in the new State appointments announced by President William Ruto, today.

Making this confirmation on Friday October 14 afternoon, Ruto also appointed several other allies in plum government positions.

“It is notified that His Excellency William Ruto has on, October 14, made various appointments to the senior ranks of the Executive Office of the President,” Joseph Kinyua, outgoing Head of Public Service announced.

Mr. Mohamed is among key figures in William Ruto’s recent presidential campaigns and who demonstrated high-level willingness to defend the boss at all costs.

He has, therefore, officially taken over from Dena also former Citizen Tv news anchor who has been serving in the capacity of Statehouse spokesperson in Kenyatta’s administration since Jubilee Party’s second term.

Also appointed today is renowned economist David Ndii whom Ruto has handed a major role in the president’s Council of Economic affairs.

Mr. Ndii who was key in drafting the famous Bottom Up economic model which Ruto used to campaign for the August polls, will be chairing the President’s Council of Economic Advisors which will focus on turning around the economy of the nation.

“It is notified that His Excellency William Ruto has, on October 14, made various appointments to the senior ranks of the Executive Office of the President,” Mr. Kinyua stated in a statement sent to major media outlets.

Also, ex-Agriculture Cabinet Secretary CS Felix Koskei has from today replaced Kinyua as Head of Public Service and who will also act as Chief of Staff in Ruto’s new government.
