Thursday, May 5, 2022 –Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka now says he is more qualified to deputize Raila Odinga than any other colleague in their Azimio-One Kenya Alliance.
Speaking during a series of rallies held today Thursday May 5, the Wiper Party leader claimed that, out of all the persons being touted as fit to be running mates, he is the only politician who has sacrificed alot for Mr. Odinga – precisely three times.
He argued that with that alone, he is already qualified for the position and used the opportunity to clarify that he will not be attending any interviews as organized by the Azimio advisory committee.
“If there is anybody who is over qualified to be Raila’s running mate is Kalonzo Mysyoka. I have sacrificed for Raila a lot and if my other colleagues think otherwise, I challenge them to prove me wrong and I will accept the defeat,” he argued.
Among those interested in deputizing Odinga include, Peter Kenneth, CS Peter Munya. Martha Karua of Narc Kenya, Governor Ali Hassan Joho and Senator Gideon Moi.
In his own view, Karua and Kenneth should only consider themselves as equal to him if they show him how many times they have been able to shelve their ambitions for Mr. Odinga.
He also received a boost from KANU’s Gideon Moi who proposed that Odinga should consider him the most fit to be his running mate.
Mr. Kalonzo and his Wiper Democratic Party brigade kicked off country wide popularization tours today.
