Thursday, June 9, 2022 –Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah has refuted claims that he smokes bhang and drinks alcohol.
Speaking on Citizen Tv on Wednesday June 8 while being hosted by Trevor Ombinja on JKL show, Wajackoyah took issue with those claiming he smokes weed and clarified that he has never used even alcohol.
The topic ensued immediately after one of the viewers who is the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party secretary general Edwin Sifuna had sought to know through the host if Wajackoyah and his running mate Justina Wangui Wamae use marijuana since that is what they preach most in their manifesto.
“Me personally I do not use bhang. Prof on his side will speak for himself,” his running mate Justina Wangui Wamae responded.
Immediately, Wajackoyah lambasted Mr. Sifuna for demeaning him on live Tv and added that speaking about growing marijuana or legalizing the weed does not have to amount to smoking.
According to the learned Wajackoyah, the essence of legalizing marijuana is for export and for production of other goods for human consumption.
He noted that marijuana is on high demand abroad and its price is good to help deal with ballooning debt in the country.
