President William Samoei Ruto has, today, claimed that he earns over Ksh 50,000 every day from milk farming alone in his Surgoi farm.

Addressing during Baringo Cultural Festival and Kimalel Goat Auction, Ruto, while demonstrating the importance of milk farming and why there is an urgent need to vaccinate livestock, said Kenyans must embrace farming since it has good earnings.

“Mimi mwenyewe niko na ng’ombe na inanipatia zaidi ya shilingi elfu hamsini kila siku na siwezi kusema kupita hapo,” he stated.

The head of State also took issue with those against the announced countrywide animal vaccination exercise saying most of them do not know why animals should be kept healthy.

But even as he was saying this, miles away in Trans Nzoia County, area Governor George Natembeya warned residents against accepting to vaccinate their cattle saying they must first be told the source of the vaccine to ascertain its safety on their livestock.
