Monday, December 11, 2023 -Roads and Transport Cabinet Secretary CS Kipchumba Murkomen has read acts of deliberate power sabortage at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport JKIA.
The country experienced a blackout on Sunday December 10 night similar to what happened a couple of weeks ago. Now the third time in a month.
Through a long official statement of Monday December 11, CS Murkomen said the National Police Service should, therefore, investigate possible cover-ups of the same.
“Considering the frequency of the power disruption, and taking into account the fact that JKIA is a facility of strategic national importance, we are making a formal request to the National Police Service to investigate possible acts of sabotage and coverup,” the CS said.
In his visit at the JKIA weeks ago over leaking roofs, the CS promised that there will be no similar uccurances in futute.
