Saturday, December 18, 2021 –Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has responded to claims that he had exhausted his artillery during the last general election.
Addressing mourners at the funeral service of Musalia Mudavadi’s stepmother Rosebella Jerono Mudavadi in Vihiga County on Saturday afternoon of December 18, the Orange Party boss said people were confusing the arrow he used with the remaining bullet.
“MP Alfred Agoi has said here that I used my last bullet but I want to let him know that I did not use the bullet. I still have it intact. I used an arrow,” Raila remarked as supporters went into an excitement.
Mr. Odinga took time to recount his past encounter with the ANC Party leader Mudavadi, saying they have had a cordial political relationship which is yet to die. He noted that they worked together during the grand coalition and have never had any differences todate.
“We have been together even in the grand coalition government. In 2013, we went separate ways where everyone was on the race, but we didn’t manage. In the recent elections, we were together hunting, we managed to injure the antelope but it escaped with the shot and an arrow to the forest, and by the time we arrived, it had been shared by our lazy enemies,” he added.
The opposition honcho then assured the mourners and supporters that he still has high hopes of reuniting with Musalia to achieve that which they started together.
Musalia, a One Kenya Alliance OKA co-principal is currently divided between those who want him to run separately and those who think his only option is to work with Mr. Odinga.
