Thursday, July 21, 2022 –United Democratic Alliance UDA Presidential flagbearer, William Ruto, has promised to absorb Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka in his government after Kenya Kwanza wins power from next month.
Addressing residents of Ukambani during his daylong campaign tour on Wednesday July 20, Ruto challenged Musyoka to cross over to his side to save himself from imminent embarrassment just 18 days to the general election.
He also blamed Raila Odinga for causing an unnecessary hardship and frustrations on Kalomzo, a man who should be accorded enough dignity.
“Jamani si mnisaidie niokoe huyu Kalonzo nimtoe kwa yule mtu wa kitendawili. Kalonzo anateswa kwa kufanyishwa interview nyingi halafu baadye anaachwa kwa mataa na wanapatia mwanamke mwingine running mate,” he ridiculed in Swahili.
He therefore promised to work with the Wiper Party leader should Kenya Kwanza win against Azimio la Umoja so that development could be realised in Ukambani Region.
The UDA Party boss who was accompanied by Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua also promised to prioritize water projects in the drought-stricken area.
